Jeremiah Nixon Kukubo: A Soldier, Storyteller, and Visionary

Born in Butonge, Sirisia Constituency, Bungoma County, Jeremiah Nixon Kukubo is a seasoned leader who has long been in the service of his nation. Hardened by years of military experience and driven by a passion for transformation, Kukubo stands as a candidate with a bold vision for Kenya’s future. A former soldier of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), he entered public service with a deep understanding of discipline, commitment, and sacrifice — qualities that he now seeks to bring to the highest office in the land.
In 1978, Kukubo embarked on a military career that would span over a decade, serving his country with pride until his resignation in 1989. During his time in the military, he was not just a soldier but also a voice that celebrated the nation, composing and performing songs with fellow officers that praised Kenya’s leadership. These years in uniform fortified his resolve to serve and protect the nation, a resolve that he carried with him as he transitioned to the political arena.
Kukubo’s political journey began in 2001 when he founded the Republican Party of Kenya, marking the start of his pursuit for meaningful change. In 2007, he made a courageous bid for the presidency, going head-to-head with veteran politicians like President Mwai Kibaki. Although he did not secure victory, garnering 5,927 votes, his campaign left a lasting impression, highlighting his focus on integrity, governance, and the economic well-being of ordinary Kenyans.
Now, with a keen eye set on the 2027 presidential elections, Jeremiah Nixon Kukubo brings with him a wealth of experience and a relentless spirit. His campaign is built on a foundation of tackling corruption, fostering economic stability, and ensuring food security — all with the aim of uplifting Kenya’s standing within the region and beyond. Kukubo has been outspoken about the need to revitalize the agricultural sector, believing that the country’s fertile land holds the key to self-sufficiency and prosperity if managed with the right priorities.
A man of the people, Kukubo’s educational roots are grounded in Bungoma County, where he attended Ndakaru and Nakalira Primary Schools, before proceeding to Kimilili Boys High School, completing his secondary education in 1977. He is a family man, married to three wives, and blessed with ten children, firmly holding onto the traditional values of his upbringing.
Beyond politics and military service, Kukubo is also an author, with two books that capture his thoughts, insights, and aspirations for Kenya’s future. These works, soon to be featured on his website, reflect his unwavering commitment to a better Kenya.
As he looks toward 2027, Jeremiah Nixon Kukubo’s message is clear: Kenya needs a leader with a solid background, a leader who understands the challenges of governance, and a leader who has the courage to fight for the common mwananchi. His journey from a village in Sirisia to the national stage is a testament to his resilience, a story of a man who is ready to steer Kenya to new heights.
