Born in Butonge, Sirisia Constituency, Bungoma County, Jeremiah Nixon Kukubo is a seasoned leader who has long been in the service of his nation. In 1978, Kukubo embarked on a military career that would span over a decade, serving his country with pride until his resignation in 1989. Kukubo’s political journey began in 2001 when he founded the Republican Party of Kenya, marking the start of his pursuit for meaningful change. In 2007, he made a courageous bid for the presidency, going head-to-head with veteran politicians like President Mwai Kibaki. Although he did not secure victory, garnering 5,927 votes, his campaign left a lasting impression, highlighting his focus on integrity, governance, and the economic well-being of ordinary Kenyans.
